As part of Karndean Evolve®, by 2030, we aim to cut our direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 42%, using 2022 as our baseline. This means lower emissions from our manufacturing and operational processes. We’re also improving how our products are treated at the end of their life. By designing with sustainability in mind, we’re targeting a 51.6% reduction in emissions from product disposal, per square meter sold by 2030.

It’s not just about us. We’re ensuring our entire supply chain is moving toward a greener future. By 2028, 62% of our suppliers (by emissions) will have their own science-based targets, meaning they too are on a measurable path to reducing carbon emissions.

Despite the challenges associated with vinyl flooring, we are making progress in reducing emissions from its production, exploring options to recycle installation off-cuts and end of life flooring, and identifying solutions to reduce the carbon emissions impact from our flooring across its life cycle.
