But once we’re home again, it’s no surprise that we can be just a little disappointed with our own bathrooms! However, there are a few tricks of the trade to give your bathroom that luxe boutique hotel feel without breaking the bank.

Clever storage
Good storage is important for hiding away those essential but unsightly products. Think sink units with integrated drawers or mirrored wall cupboards. Of course premium products in beautiful packaging instantly give a luxe vibe but canny shoppers are simply decanting their usual brands into a more attractive container. Think laterally and search your favourite homeware stores and second hand shops for interesting glass bottles or bowls then display these in groups of three or five on a cute tray.
Flexible lighting
The right lighting can make all the difference and give your bathroom a spa feel. For practicality, make sure you have good task lighting around your mirror. Then, for a more relaxing atmosphere, consider candles or smart lighting that can be adjusted to your mood.

Statement floors
Nothing exudes luxury like the exclusivity of marble and over the years the most extravagant bathrooms have featured large expanses of marble across both walls and the floor.
